Our research takes place where chemistry and biology meet. We are interested in protein structure, catalysis and engineering. We also develop new strategies for organic synthesis based on enzymes (biocatalysis). Current research includes work on pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzymes and non-heme iron oxygenases. Because our projects are highly interdisciplinary, we also collaborate with a number of other research groups.
